If you use Distel climbing spurs and want to ascend a rope, the Arbpro Gemini Spurs [AP-GE/SP] – specifically designed for Distel spurs – are essential. However, a common issue with this type of shank is that, due to its shape, the Gemini Spurs cannot sit flush. As a result, the gaff shifts inward, while on the other foot it remains in the standard position. The Gemini Spurs Loop was developed specifically to face this situation. It consists of a 2 mm thick stainless steel plate that is mounted onto the H-shaped shank and on that the gaff is mounted. This ensures that both gaffs are aligned in the same position, restoring a balanced and familiar climbing experience.
